Influencing Skills to Manage conflict
Course Summary
This session gives learners the skills to manage conflict and difficult relationships with their colleagues, wider associates and even the service users and customers of your organsiation. The session will include a range of skills including negotiation methods developed by the FBI and Harvard Business school, reflective behavioural models, identifying the type of ‘negotiator’ you are dealing with, using tactical empathy to overcome blockages in other people’s behaviour, how to use silence tactically and the skill of passive assertiveness to get people who appear to be obstinately blocking our path on board and working with us.
By the end of the session delegates will have a wide range of practical skills that they will be able to implement immediately to help them start achieving results straight away. This is a highly focused interactive session for any staff members or teams who work in roles where communication and teamwork are vitally important.
It is ideal for ensuring that diverse teams of individuals can communicate effectively without misunderstanding and conflict arising and that staff are happy and productive at work.
